Twelve-year-old charged with raping child

A 12-year-old boy has been charged with raping another boy, aged 8, in Greater Manchester, police have confirmed.

The 12-year-old from the Wigan area, who can not be named for legal reasons, has been charged with two counts of rape, seven counts of sexual assault and three counts of engaging a child in sexual activity.

The charges are understood to relate to incidents, which took place within the last six months.

The boy is due to appear at Wigan Magistrates Court on Friday.

Two Charged Over Attack On Mourning Family
Police investigating an attack on a family who were mourning the loss of a stillborn baby at a park in Colchester have charged a 27-year-old woman and 14-year-old boy. The family was at High Woods Country Park in July last year planning to release balloons in memory of their stillborn baby girl when they were attacked.

PC Michael Graham, 47, an officer in Hounslow, was arrested at his home on 06 October and charged the following day. He has been suspended from duty while officers from Sexual Offences Exploitation & Child Abuse are investigating.

William Roache Charged With Five Counts Of Indecent Assault
William Roache has been charged with five counts of indecent assault against four girls aged between 12 and 16 during the 1960s. This is in addition to two previous charges brought in May of raping a 15-year-old girl in 1967.

21-Year-Old Charged With Grooming Offences
A 21-year-old man has been charged with grooming offences following an investigation by Greater Manchester Police's Sunrise Team in Rochdale. Ryan Howley, of Top O'The Close Road, Walsden, Todmorden, is charged with two counts of attempting to meet a child following sexual grooming and one count of inciting a child to commit sexual activity.

Mobile Customers To Share £1m Refund
Mobile provide EE is to refund around £1m to a number of customers wrongly charged VAT between October 2012 and October 2014. It is understood that EE customers who travelled outside the EU during those dates and used internet data were affected by the charges. The company estimated it as being about 0.5% of its customers.
