Prince's press comments overheard
The Prince of Wales was overheard declaring an apparent dislike of the press during an official photocall at his annual skiing holiday in Switzerland.
Prince Charles, who is due to marry Camilla Parker-Bowles next week, was posing for photographs with his sons, Princes William and Harry, when his comments were picked up by microphones. The Prince was heard to say "Bloody people" and 'I hate doing this".
It has been reported that the Prince may have been upset by photographs of Prince Williams and his companion, fellow St Andrew's student, Kate Middleton, which had appeared in several of yesterday's newspapers.
During the photocall, which was held in Monbiel, just outside the Swiss resort of Klosters, the Prince was asked about his wedding to Mrs Parker-Bowles, which will take place on April 8. He replied: "I'm very glad you have heard of it."
Prince William and Prince Harry also told the press that they had held a stag party for their father and reportedly laughed when they were asked if they had tied him to a lamppost. They explained the tradition to Charles, who had asked why they would have done such a thing.
Mrs Parker-Bowles, who cannot ski, did not join the Prince and his two sons on the holiday.
