Three terror suspects still being questioned
Police are still questioning three people arrested in Coventry earlier this week in conjunction with an international terrorism investigation.
Detectives have been granted an extension to further question the trio who were arrested on Tuesday. Police will now be able to hold the suspects until Saturday, when they will have to be charged or released or the police will have to apply for another extension. Police are allowed to question the suspects for a maximum of 14 days.
The two men, aged 30 and 29, and a 41-year-old woman were arrested in the Holbrook and Great Heath areas, by officers from Scotland Yard and the West Midlands Police.
It has been reported that the three suspects are of Asian origin, but it is not known whether or not they are British nationals at present.
Police have also conducted searches at five premises in Coventry as part of the investigation.
The trio are being held at a police station in central London, under the provisions of the Terrorism Act 2000.

Man Arrested On Terrorism Offences
A man has been arrested in Luton on suspicion of fundraising and inciting terrorism overseas, it has been reported. The Metropolitan Police said the 35-year-old has been taken into custody in London. Searches are now being carried out at three properties; two are in east London and the third is in Luton.

Nine arrested in anti-terror raids
Nine people have been arrested in south London, as the investigation into the attempted bomb attacks in the capital last week continues. Police raided two properties in Tooting early on Thursday morning. Six men were arrested at one address, while three others were arrested at the second property.

Three July 7 suspects questioned
Police are to begin questioning three men arrested by anti-terrorism police in connection with the July 7 bombings in London. Two suspects were detained at Manchester airport after they were stopped from boarding a flight to Pakistan. The third man was detained at an address in Leeds.

Police in Birmingham have arrested five terrorism suspects during early morning raids across the city. The men, believed to be aged between 29 and 36, are being held under anti-terrorism law. Police said the suspects are being detained for alleged involvement in the "commission, preparation or instigation of an act of terrorism.

Police continue to question terror suspects
Police are continuing to question four terror suspects arrested in London as part of an investigation into alleged international terrorism. Three men - two aged 29 and one aged 21 - were arrested on Monday night in Hackney, east London, while the fourth man - who is aged 28 - was arrested on Tuesday in south-east London.
