Team GB sailors continue to perform well
In very light conditions on Wednesday at the Agios Kosmas sailing centre in the single-handed Finn class, Ben Ainslie continues to hold the overall lead with eight points to spare over Spaniard Rafael Trujillo.
British men's 470 sailors Nick Rogers and Joe Glanfield also performed well today to hold onto the lead in the 470 class with a six points margin in hand.
In the women's keelboat Yngling class, the British crew of Shirley Robertson, Sarah Webb and Sarah Ayton continue to dominate the series with six wins out of the eight races sailed.
In the high-performance twin-trapeze 49er class the British duo of Chris Draper and Simon Hiscocks put in some improved race results today to lift them into second place overall, just two points behind the German boat. The Irish boat helmed by Tom Fitzpatrick and crewed by Fraser Brown put in a much improved fourth place to leave then in 12th place overall after four races sailed in the series.
In the single-handed Laser class Paul Goodison has moved up into sixth place overall, while Ireland's Rory Fitzpatrick is in 34th place in the largest of the Olympic class fleets.
In the women's 470 competition, Christina Bassadone and Katherine Hopson are continuing to fight back, the pair are lying seventh overall. Two poor results on the first day have left them under pressure and they are 39 points adrift of the Greek pair of Sofia Bekatorou and Aimilia Tsoulfa who have shown spectacularly consistent form with six finishes in first or second place in the eight races so far.
In the Mistral windsurfer class, Briton Nick Dempsey is currently in sixth place in the men's competition, and Natasha Sturges in ninth place overall.
In the single-handed Europe class, Laura Baldwin is in 22nd position overall with six races sailed.

Sailing: British 49er class gain place third overall

Second Class stamps to rise to 21p
The price of a basic Second Class postage will rise 1p to 21p from April 1 next year, but the price of a First class stamp will remain unchanged, it has been announced today. First Class prices for heavier letters will fall but there will be increases for heavier Second Class mail.

23 Charged With Drug Offences Following Raids
More than 20 people have been charged with drug offences following a number of raids carried out in London, Gravesend, Dover and Deal. A total of 23 people were arrested during twenty raids carried out over three days. The suspects, ranging in age from 17 to 52, have all been charged in connection with the supply of class A drugs.

Royal Mail Announce Stamp Price Rise
Royal Mail has announced a price increase on first and second class stamps, to be introduced on 30 March. First class stamps will cost 63p each, with second class costing 54p. The firm also announced that the price of a large letter would increase by 2p to 95p for first class postage.
