Lincolnshire police launch double murder inquiry
Police in Lincolnshire have launched a murder inquiry after discovering the bodies of a man and a woman at a bungalow in Trusthorpe.
A post mortem examination has revealed that the couple died as a result of gunshot wounds, the BBC has reported.
The discovery was made at around 9.30pm on Sunday evening when police were called to an address on Sutton Road, Trusthorpe. A police spokesperson said that they had identified the bodies but would not be making any details public until the families had been informed.
As a result of the incident, the A52 road between Mablethorpe and Trusthorpe has been closed. It will re-open after the full forensic examination of the scene is completed.
Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Extension granted to question double murder suspect
Police holding a teenager in connection with the murders of a couple in Lincolnshire have been given an extension to continue questioning the suspect. Lincolnshire police have been granted leave to hold the 19-year-old for another 36 hours from 10am today.

Two 14-Year-Old Boys Charged With Manslaughter
Two 14-year-old boys have been charged with manslaughter following the death of a 41-year-old father-of-two in Leicester. Ponnuthurai Nimalaraja, known as Nimal, was assaulted at the junction of Gypsy Lane and Northfield Road shortly after 23:00 on 9 June. Mr Nimalaraja died in hospital on 16 June, one week after being attacked.
