Kosovo relatively quiet after funerals for drowned boys
In Kosovo, the funeral for the two children whose deaths sparked off some of most serious ethnic clashes in the region since the civil war, has passed off without incident, the UN has said.
Police from the UN Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) reported that the situation in the province was now calm.
The funeral was attended by up to 7,000 people and passed without incident, according to UNMIK police spokesman Derek Chappell.
An international prosecutor has been appointed to look into the circumstances surrounding the death of the two boys and a preliminary investigation will be held.
As a result of last week's turmoil, dozens were killed and more than 3,200 people were displaced.
The UN refugee agency (UNHCR) has come in to provide supplies to those in need, including some 650 mattresses, 1,000 blankets, eight tons of food and 200 hygienic kits that each serve 1,000 people.
