Girl's body found in Manchester street
Police in north Manchester have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a young woman's body in the Harpurhey area last night.
Shortly after 10pm, a man called the police after finding what appears to be the body of a teenage girl in Hendham Vale.
A post mortem examination will take place later today to ascertain the cause of death.
Detectives investigating the death are still making enquiries to try to identify the girl.
Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact Greater Manchester Police on 0161 872 5050 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
