Woman arrested after body found in freezer

A woman in her 50s has been arrested after police in Somerset discovered a body in a freezer at a house in Paulton last night.

Police attending an address at Oaklands yesterday found the body of a man in a freezer. It is understood that both the freezer and the body have been removed to the mortuary at Southmead Hospital, Bristol.

The house was sealed off and crime scene investigators carried out a thorough search of the location this morning, police said.

The woman is currently helping police with their enquiries.

A spokesperson said: "Due to the circumstances in which the body was found, it is likely to be some considerable time before the cause of death can be ascertained."

The identity of the man has yet to be officially confirmed.
