Thousands Of Homes Without Water After Main Ruptures
Parts of Wales are without water after a high pressure water main near treatment works ruptured, Welsh Water has announced.
The water company is now underway with repair works near Pontrhydyceirt in West Wales.
Approximately 2,500 properties are affected, including supplies in Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire.
Other impacted communities include Crymych, Boncath, St Dogmaels, Tegryn, Moelgrove and Nevern.
Bottled water is being distributed to vulnerable customers.
A spokesperson for Welsh Water said: "The repair has been hampered by significant engineering difficulties, but we are working hard to resolve this and restore supplies as safely and as quickly as possible."
Normal water supplies are expected to resume tomorrow.
