Man Arrested In Connection With Eight Sexual Attacks

A man has been arrested in connection with eight sexual attacks within three weeks in south London.

The 34-year-old man from Lambeth has been detained in custody, according to the Metropolitan Police.

The attacks targeted lone women late at night. The victims were aged in their 20s and 30s.

One victim, a 26-year-old woman was sexually assaulted on her doorstep on Roseberry Road.

Officers are appealing for witnesses in the Clapham and Brixton Hill areas to contact them.

Eight Men Arrested Following Dawn Raids
Over 100 police officers have carried out a series of raids concerning child sexual exploitation offences in Oxford. Eight men were arrested following the raids at 6am this morning 2 June. Police are investigating approximately 60 offences in connection with the operation relating to female victims in Oxford between 1999 and 2007.

IPCC Call For Code Of Conduct On Police Sexual Attacks
More than 50 cases of polices officers and staff allegedly taking sexual advantage of members of the public have been found by the police watchdog. The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) said there was no evidence assaults were commonplace but it did not know if all cases were reported.
