10 held under anti-terror laws

It has been reported that 10 people have been arrested under anti-terrorism legislation this morning.

The men, all thought to be of Algerian descent, were detained following police swoops on addresses in London and Manchester. Six were arrested in the capital while the remaining four were detained in Manchester.

Police teams swooped at addresses from 5.30am onwards. Detectives and forensics teams are currently carrying out searches at properties in Manchester and London.

Police Chief's Body Released For Burial
The body of Greater Manchester Police Chief Michael Todd has been released to his family for burial. The 50-year-old married father-of-three was found dead at the foot of cliff near Bwlch Glas in Snowdon north Wales on Tuesday afternoon.
