Appeal Issued For Missing Birmingham Sisters
West Midlands Police have appealed for help in tracing two sisters missing from their home since Sunday, 11 October.
Amena Drummond, 14 and Sya Byrne 17, left their Tile Cross home in Birmingham on Sunday morning and failed to return.
Amena is described as black, with shoulder length hair and was last seen wearing grey jeggings, white short sleeved top a brown hoody and grey Nike trainers.
Sya is described as black with long plaited hair and was last seen wearing blue skinny jeans, a khaki coloured parka jacket and multi-coloured trainers.
Officers searching for the teenagers have been visiting known addresses and speaking to friends and family but are now appealing to the public for information into their whereabouts.
PC Kate Russell, from Stechford police station, said: "Amena's and Sya's family are understandably upset and worried and we are appealing to them to make contact with us.
"The girls have been missing before, but never this long and we need to make sure that they are safe and well.
"They are not in any trouble and I would ask them to give me a call or come to a local station so we can ensure they are okay.
"If anyone has seen Amena or Sya recently then please call us with information."
Anyone with information is urged to call West Midlands Police on 101. Alternatively people can leave information anonymously by calling the Missing Persons charity on 116 000.
