Murder Probe Launched Following Man's Death In Leeds
A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Leeds.
Officers were called to Moorfield Avenue, Armley at 9:21pm on 05 October following reports of a man on the street in distress.
During a search of the area, officers discovered a 27-year-old man in Back Moorfield Terrace with serious head injuries.
A 43-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Detective Chief Inspector Elizabeth Belton said: "We are treating this man's death as murder and are carrying out extensive enquiries into the circumstances surrounding his death.
"We would urgently like to hear from anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area in the time leading up this incident or anyone who has any information that could assist the investigation."
Ms Belton added a number of scenes in the area are currently undergoing forensic examination.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team via 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Suspected London bomber to be returned to UK
A British man wanted for questioning in connection with the failed London bomb attacks on July 21 is to be extradited to the UK within 35 days, an Italian court has ruled. Osman Hussein (27) will appeal the decision to the Italian Supreme court, according to his lawyers.

Double Murder Suspect Arrested
Following the arrest on Sunday morning of double murder suspect James Allen police have appealed for people to check on any friends and relatives who could have come into contact him. Detectives made the appeal after 36-year-old Allen was arrested early on Sunday after being spotted by an off-duty officer on his way to work in Leeds.

82-Year-Old Man Found Stabbed To Death
Gloucestershire Police have launched a murder investigation after the body of an 82-year-old man was discovered in Stroud. Police said the man, whose identity has not be released, was found at a property on Walkley Hill on Friday. The man died of stab wounds, according to the police.

A British man has been charged with killing his wife after her body was discovered in a shallow grave in the Caribbean. Nixiann Downes-Clack's body was discovered in Grenada on Friday after she was reported missing by relatives. A post-mortem examination revealed she died of a blunt force trauma and asphyxiation by strangulation.

Man Charged With Murder Of Homeless Man
A man has been charged with the murder of a homeless man who died after an attack at a bus stop in the West-Midlands last month. The 35-year-old from Smethwick was charged and remanded in custody on Sunday, to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Monday morning.
