Woman Dies Following Traffic Collision In Wales

A woman has died and a man is in a serious condition following a road traffic collision in Wales.

The incident happened on the A470 near Betws-y-Coed on 04 October.

The woman, who was in her 70's, was on the back of a motorcycle being driven by the man.

The vehicle collided with a Nissan Qashqai at about 14:15.

North Wales Police said the man remains in a serious condition in hospital.

Police are appealing for witnesses.

Appeal For Information After Man Is Left Critical In Park Attack
South Wales Police are searching for a number of people in connection with a daytime attack on a 19-year-old man in a park in Cardiff. Police said the victim is in a critical condition in hospital following the attack, which happened on Monday at about 13:45 at Tremorfa park, Cardiff. Former police officers arrested in Lynette White murder case
Five retired police officers have been arrested as part of an investigation into the murder of a Cardiff prostitute 17 years ago, South Wales police have confirmed. Twenty-year-old Lynette White was found murdered in a flat in the Butetown area of Cardiff on Valentine’s Day, 1988.

Second Collision On A55 Expressway
North Wales Police have reported a second collision on the A55 expressway in north Wales, which shut the road completely. A man was fatally injured in a collision involving two HGV lorries and a transit van on Tuesday morning between St Asaph and Abergale.
