14 Injured In Train Collision At King's Cross
Fourteen people were injured with a train collided with the buffer stops at King's Cross station.
As the 10:55 service from Cambridge arrived in King's Cross at 12:18, it failed to slow to a stop and collided with the end of line buffer. Fourteen people were injured, with four needing hospital treatment.
It is understood that the train was being driven by a trainee driver at the time.
Four-Week-Old Baby Found In Cardboard Box
An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a baby girl outside a house in Northamptonshire.
It is understood that a member of the public found the child inside a cardboard box outside the house in Ibsen Walk, Corby at around 9am on Monday morning.
A police spokesman said the girl appeared "to be in good health" and was now being cared for at Kettering General Hospital.
Officers said they are concerned for the welfare of the mother.
People Warned Not To Tackle Fires Themselves
Firefighters have warned people against trying to tackle fires themselves after a man was injured in a house fire on Penrith Road in Thornton Heath.
It is understood that four people left the property before the arrival of the Brigade, but two of the occupants had attempted to tackle the fire themselves.
One man was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service, suffering from minor burns and smoke inhalation.
A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: "It is vital that you never try and tackle a fire yourself, as they can cause injuries as seen in this incident. Stay well away from the fire and always get out, stay out and call 999 right away."

Overnight Mountain Fire Deliberate - SWFS
Fire crews in South Wales worked through the night tackling a large wild fire in Caerphilly county. More than 700 acres of mountain in Wattsville, near Crosskeys, were affected by a fire, which the fire service believe was started deliberately. Twelve fire engines were on the scene, which sits above the Tata Steel Plant.

Firefighters Tackle Overnight Church Blaze
Firefighters in Glasgow have fought a blaze at a church in the city over night. Emergency services where alerted to the fire on Crossloan Road, Govan at about 22:30 on Sunday. Residents in a neighbouring four-storey tenement had to be evacuated during the incident, with a number of them put up in emergency accommodation.

An investigation is underway into a major fire at Didcot B power station in Oxfordshire. A fire was reported at the station at about 20:00 on Sunday night, with more than 100 firefighters and 25 fire engines on the scene at the height of the blaze.
