Boa Constrictor Escapes In Whitehaven

Cumbria Police have issued a warning following escaped boa constrictor in Whitehaven.

It is understood that the 8ft long snake was reported missing from an address on North Row, Kells, just before 19:00 on Friday, 18 September.

Police said that the animal does not pose an immediate risk to the public, however if sighted people should not approach it and contact police immediately.

Anyone who sees the snake is asked to contact Cumbria Constabulary on 101.

Police Concerned For Missing 34-Year-Old

Police have appealed for help in tracing 34-year-old Natalie Taylor, who was last seen at around 18:00 on Sunday evening, 20 September at her home in Sebert Road, E7.

Officers are concerned for her safety and well-being.

Natalie is described as white, around 5ft 9ins tall with a slim build, short dark hair and brown eyes.

When she was last seen she was wearing a blue / purple dressing gown, white pyjamas and white / beige slippers. She left all other belongings at home.

Natalie has links to the Newham, Tooting and Camden areas.

Anyone who has seen Natalie or knows of her whereabouts is asked to call police in Newham via 101.

New Street Station Reopens

Birmingham's New Street station has reopened following completion of a £750 million refurbishment.

The station features a new concern, atrium and Grand Central shopping complex.

The refurbishment was the first major work on the station since it was redeveloped in the 1960s.

Riot Police Deployed As G8 Protesters Occupy Former Police Station
Some 100 riot police have been deployed in central London as protestors take to the streets to demonstrate ahead on the G8 summit being held in Northern Ireland next week. Officers were sent to Soho, where protesters are thought to have occupied a former police station on Beak Street.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Teenage Girl Arrested Over Body Find
A girl and a 41-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of murder after two bodies were discovered in Suffolk. Suffolk Police said that the first body was found yesterday morning at around 11am after a member of the public called police to express concern for the welfare of a woman in a flat at Victoria Street.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.
