Man On Stag Party Dies After Being Pulled From Dock

A man has died after being rescued from Liverpool's Salthouse Dock following a stag party night out with friends.

Merseyside Police have named the victim as 24-year-old Dale Joint.

Mr Joint was one of three men who ended up in the water at approximately 9:45pm on 22 January.

Two of the men, believed to be in their early 20's, were rescued by emergency services.

A further search located Mr Joint, who was taken to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.

He was declared dead a short time later.

All three men are from Leigh in Greater Manchester.

The friends were in Liverpool for a night out and are believed to have been drinking in the Albert Dock area.

Police have said an investigation into the incident is underway.

Brothers 'Win' Hospital Poisoning Case
An eight-year legal battle has been won after a Merseyside hospital admitted effectively poisoning two brothers. Liam McNeely, 35, and his brother Paul, 39, received blood transfusions for a rare form of anaemia at the Royal Liverpool Hospital.

Tall Ship Sinks In Liverpool's Albert Dock
One of the historic tall-ships has sunk in Liverpool's Albert Dock. A spokesperson confirmed the Brigantine Zebu sank on Friday at 4:30am. The vessel was unoccupied during the incident and no one was injured. A marine surveyor and a team of engineers are currently on site.
