Stuffed Arctic Wolf Worth £32,000 Stolen

A stuffed Arctic wolf worth £32,000 has been stolen from a flat in Chelsea.

Police reported that the owner of the flat had returned from a night out with a friend, bringing three men they had met earlier that night back with them to the property at around 4am. The men then left around an hour later.

Later in the morning, the woman discovered her stuffed Arctic wolf was missing.

The wolf is about 6ft long and 3ft high and was bought six years ago from a taxidermy shop. It has an open 'snarling' mouth and yellow glass eyes. It has white fur with black speckles on its back, shoulders and ears.

All three suspects are white men believed to be aged in their early 20s.

Blackpool Illuminations To Be Switched On By Tim Burton

Blackpool's famous illuminations will be switched on by Holywood director Tim Burton this year.

The director, who filmed scenes for his latest movie in the seaside town, has described himself as "Blackpool Pleasure Beach's biggest fan".

Burton will turn on the lights following a concert on 04 September.

Glass Bottle Refund Scheme To End

AG Barr has announced the end of its 30p refund scheme for the return of its glass bottles.

It is understood that the company is ending the scheme as it is decommissioning its bottle washing equipment and investing £5m in a new facility that will fill its bottles quicker.

AG Barr said it would no longer be able to handle returns after 31 December.

Witness Appeal Over Hackney Bus Incident
An appeal for information has been launched on Monday after a man smashed a glass bottle on the driver's window of a bus in Hackney. Officers from the joint Metropolitan Police Service and Transport said they were investigating the incident, which occurred on Saturday October 15 at about 3.30am on a route N38 bus on Lower Clapton Road.

Teen Jailed Over Bottle Throwing Death
A teenager has been jailed for four-and-a-half years for throwing a bottle in a crowded pub, which killed a barmaid. Neil McNulty, 19, from Heywood, hurled the bottle through the Queen Anne Hotel, in a temper after he was refused entry. A shard of glass flew into Emma O'Kane's neck, when the bottle shattered.

Two Men Wanted Following Armed Robbery
Birmingham Police are searching for two men who are wanted following the armed robbery of a shop in Winson Green. Two men rushed into the premises on Dudley Road shortly after 2am. They demanded money, threatening staff with a machete. It is understood the men fled with the shop's takings, cigarettes and a bottle of vodka.
