Police Hunt Men After Officer Hurt In Hit-And-Run
Police in the West Midlands are searching for two men wanted in connection with a hit-and-run incident involving a Dudley police officer.
It is understood that a police officer was attempting to make a vehicle stop at about 15:30 on Wolverhampton Road, but the car did not stop and hit the officer, before driving off.
Officers have launched an investigation into what happened and are appealing for information to find the driver and a passenger who were in the car - both were men and are described as Asian.
Detective Constable Pete Miller, from Force CID, said: "This was no accident and the driver knew exactly what he was doing as he collided with our officer and then drove away.
"Fortunately he escaped with just minor injuries and is now recovering at home.
"We're appealing for help to track down the vehicle and those who were inside. We'd ask anyone with information that could help us to call 101 as soon as possible."
Alternatively information can be passed to the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
