Teenager Killed In Fatal Accident In Birmingham

Police have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road accident in Nechells, Birmingham at about 00:30 on Sunday.

According to reports a car carrying four teenagers crashed into a house on Duddeston Manor Road.

The driver, aged 19, was treated at the scene for serious injuries before being transferred to hospital. He died shortly after arrival.

Another 18-year-old also suffered serious injuries, and two teenagers aged 15 and 18 were treated for minor injuries.

PC Christopher Blount, from the force’s Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We continue to investigate the circumstances around the collision and are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time or saw a silver S40 Volvo shortly before the collision to call me or one of the team on 101.

“Unfortunately one teenager died as a result of injuries sustained from the collision and we have specialist officers liaising with the family at this sad time.”

Anyone with information that could help the investigation is urged to call West Midlands Police on 101. Alternatively people can leave information anonymously by calling Crimestoppers the independent charity on 0800 555 111.

A woman has died in hospital after falling on a route E3 bus on Chiswick High Road, just after 13:30 on Tuesday, 18 August. The 77-year-old woman was taken to hospital by ambulance, where she was pronounced dead shortly before 17:00.

Police Appeal After Pensioner Suffers Serious Injuries In Bolton Collision
Police are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner was seriously injured in a collision in Bolton on Tuesday night. A silver Toyota Avensis car collided with the woman, 78, on Thicketford Road. She is currently in a serious but stable condition in hospital. Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 0161 856 4745.

Two die in M6 motorway crash
Two people have died and four treated for minor injuries following a six-vehicle collision on the M6 near Coventry, it has been reported today. The accident occurred at around 12.15pm today and involved four lorries, a car and a van.
