Six People In Hospital Following M25 Coach Crash

Six people have been taken to hospital with minor injuries following a coach crash on the M25 in Surrey.

The incident occurred on the anticlockwise M25 carriageway in the early hours of this morning 27 July.

It is understood 48 people were on board the coach when it collided with a concrete parapet between Junctions 8 and 9 at approximately 1:45am.

The coach was travelling from London back to Romania.

Emergency services attended the scene.

Surrey Police said while the coach suffered substantial damage, there were no reports of serious injuries.

Three lanes of the motorway were closed while the vehicle was recovered.

M25 crash inquiry to take 'several days'
An investigation into one of the worst crashes on the M25 in 20 years is expected to take several days, Surrey Police have confirmed. Six people died in the crash, which happened in the early hours of Monday morning. The crash involved a recovery vehicle, carrying a minibus, and a lorry.

Wi-fi Trial On The Glasgow Subway
A wi-fi system is to be tried out at Buchanan Street Station on the Glasgow Subway. If successful, passengers will be able to use their laptops and make phone calls. The link could be in operation by the end of the year. A similar scheme is also being considered by First Scotrail for central belt services.

Man Remanded Over Date Murder
A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a woman he asked out on a date. Twenty-seven-year-old Karl Taylor, a fitness trainer and football coach, pleaded not guilty to the murder of Kate Beagley during an appearance via video link at the Old Bailey on Tuesday. Miss Beagley, 32, from Walton-on-Thames in Surrey, disappeared in June.
