Two Suspicious Packages Discovered In Exeter

Two suspicious packages have been discovered in Exeter today, 29 June.

The first package was found in York Road, near Sidwell Street close to St Sidwell's School at 6:55am.

Later a second package was found at the King William Street Car park at approximately 9:15am.

A number of road closures are in place at York Road on both Sidwell Street and Longbrook Street.

Residents living nearby have also been evacuated from the area.

Emergency services along with bomb disposal experts are attending the scene.

Police have urged people and motorists to avoid the area.

Army deal with suspect devices in Bath
