Man Charged With Murder After Traffic Collision

A man has been charged with murder following a fatal traffic collision at a village in Hertfordshire.

The victim, a man in his 50s, died after colliding with a white van at 11.30am in Groom Road on 26 June.

Michael Turner, 56, from Landua Way in Turnford, has been remanded in custody.

He is due to appear at Hatfield Remand Court on 29 June.

A 38-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on bail.

She is due to appear in court on 28 July.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident or 'events leading up to it' to come forward.

Man in court over 1995 murder
A man is due to appear in court charged in connection with the murder of a man more than 11 years ago. The body of Robert Higgins was found in Craigs Quarry, Milrig Farm in Kirkliston, West Lothian on May 1, 1995. He had been stabbed to death.

Two More Charged Over Hatton Garden Robbery
The Metropolitan Police have charged two people in connection with the Hatton Garden safety deposit box raid in April. Brenn Walters, aka Ben Perkins, 43, and 35-year-old Terri Robinson have been charged in connection with the robbery and are due to appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court on 27 August.
