Investigation Launched After 12-Year-Old Stabbed Eight Times

An investigation has been launched into a gang-related attack on a 12-year-old boy in Hoxton, north London.

The boy suffered 8 stab wounds in the incident, which occurred at about 22:15 on Tuesday night.

It is understood that police had been called to another stabbing incident, involving a 19-year-old man, nearby, when they received reports of the incident involving the younger child.

Police have said that they believe the two incidents are linked.

MoJ Reveal Drone Used In Prison Smuggle Attempt
The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has revealed that a drone was used to try and smuggle a package into the grounds of HMP Bedford. An MoJ spokesperson said that the aircraft was "quickly intercepted by vigilant staff" on 06 March.

Arrests Follow Edmonton Murder
Police investigating the murder of 15-year old Negus McLean in Edmonton have today made a further two arrests. A 14-year old boy, and a 16-year old boy, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody. Police were called at 7.25pm on Sunday 10 April to reports of a stabbing in Westminster Road, north London.

Teenager questioned over fatal stabbing
A teenager is being questioned in connection with the stabbing of a 16-year-old Tyneside boy. Police are investigating the murder of Mark Smith, 16, from St John's Walk, Newcastle, who was stabbed and later died in hospital.

Toddler In Pond Tragedy
An investigation has been launched after a three-year-old boy died when he fell into a garden pond. Ethan Read, from Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, died in spite of his mother's attempts to revive him before the ambulance arrived. The incident happened at an address in Coney Weston. The death is being treated as unexplained.

Charges dropped against Leicester City trio
The three Leicester City players accused of sexually assaulting three women in the Spanish resort of La Manga last February have seen all charges against them dropped. The club's captain Paul Dickov and players Frank Sinclair and Keith Gillespie had been charged with 'sexual aggression', which carries a maximum sentence of up to 14 years in prison.
