21-Year-Old Charged With Grooming Offences

A 21-year-old man has been charged with grooming offences following an investigation by Greater Manchester Police's Sunrise Team in Rochdale.

Ryan Howley, of Top O'The Close Road, Walsden, Todmorden, is charged with two counts of attempting to meet a child following sexual grooming and one count of inciting a child to commit sexual activity.

He appeared before Rochdale and Bury Magistrates' Court today, 24 June 2015, where he was remanded in custody to next appear on 15 July 2015.

It follows an investigation by officers into complaints about online grooming.

Four Arrested In Rochdale Child Abuse Investigation
Four men have been arrested as part of an investigation into child sexual exploitation in Rochdale. The arrests were made by officers of Operation Doublet, led by Greater Manchester Police (GMP), and relate to alleged offences committed against one victim, who was under 16 at the time of the abuse.

23 Charged With Drug Offences Following Raids
More than 20 people have been charged with drug offences following a number of raids carried out in London, Gravesend, Dover and Deal. A total of 23 people were arrested during twenty raids carried out over three days. The suspects, ranging in age from 17 to 52, have all been charged in connection with the supply of class A drugs.
