Man Arrested Over Wavertree Shooting
A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Wavertree, south Liverpool.
A 29-year-old man remains in a serious condition in hospital following an incident in the early hours of Saturday morning. The victim suffered a gunshot would to the chest.
Detectives from the force's Matrix Serious Organised Crime unit are leading the investigation into the shooting, and are said to be keeping an "open mind" as to the motive behind the shooting.

Police were called to reports of a road accident between a car and a scrambler bike on Banks Road in Garston at about 20:45 last night. However, when police arrived at the scene they found an 18-year-old man with serious gunshot wounds.

Police investigating the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old in Liverpool on Saturday have arrested two men and a woman. Teenager Kevin Wilson was shot in the back in Wavertree on Saturday, in what police described as a "targeted attack". Police have arrested a 54-year-old man from Toxteth, and a man and woman from Kensington, both aged 37.

Two arrested over double shooting
Police investigating a double shooting in north London on Wednesday night have arrested two men. A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of two counts of attempted murder, while a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. The two shooting incidents took place within half an hour of each other on Wednesday night.
