Fatal Fire In Langley Mill Investigated

An investigation has been launched into the cause of a fatal fire in Langley Mill, Derbyshire in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Emergency services were called to a house in North Street just after 4am.

A man, woman, and female infant died following the fire, which badly damaged the house and a car parked outside.

Investigating officers say they are keeping an open mind as to the cause of the fire and have not ruled anything out at this early stage in the inquiry.

Police have not released any further details of those who died in the fire as they are still tracing family members.

Several neighbouring properties were evacuated as the fire caused a gas leak.

Anyone with information should call police on 101.
