Two Men Wanted Following Armed Robbery

Birmingham Police are searching for two men who are wanted following the armed robbery of a shop in Winson Green.

Two men rushed into the premises on Dudley Road shortly after 2am. They demanded money, threatening staff with a machete. It is understood the men fled with the shop's takings, cigarettes and a bottle of vodka.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Lynval Dell, said: "The robbery was a frightening ordeal for the shop staff who – as the CCTV images show – were left stunned by what happened.

"Although the cowardly robbers hid their faces, I believe that someone will recognise the pair from their clothes, the way in which they carry themselves and the things that they stole – cash, cigarettes and the single bottle of vodka."

Anyone with information should call police on 101, or information can be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
