Teenager Arrested Over Bradford Teacher Stabbing
Police investigating the stabbing of a school teacher in Bradford have arrested a 14-year-old male.
A major search was launched on Thursday after a male teacher, aged 50, was stabbed during a science class at Dixons Kings Academy just before 9am.
The teacher was treated in hospital for a single stab wound to the stomach.
Police arrested the teenager on Thursday afternoon in Bradford city centre.
He remains in custody for questioning.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Superintendent Simon Atkinson said: "There were a number of pupils who witnessed the incident, which took place in a classroom, and they have been liaising with our specially trained officers. This is believed to be an isolated incident and police are continuing enquiries to establish the facts.
"I would like to reassure residents and staff that all necessary resources are being deployed to investigate this ongoing and clearly very serious incident."

Police Shoot Man Following Stabbing Incident In Hersden
A man has been shot by police after being called to attend an incident in Hersden where a woman was stabbed. Police initially attended the scene at around 11.20pm on Sunday followed by firearms officers and police negotiators. The man and woman, who are members of the same family, are both in a critical condition in hospital.
