Car Seller Kidnapped

An investigation has been launched after two men kidnapped another man at knifepoint while claiming to be interested in purchasing his car.

The men arrived at the car sellers house in Dudley at approximately 10.40am on 25 May and going for a test drive.

Police said they pulled into the car park of a pub on Dibdale Road and then threatened the man with a knife.

After tying the man up they placed a bag over his head.

The men drove a short distance and transferred the victim into another vehicle with cloned licence plates.

He was then driven to Brasshouse Lane in Smethwick and released.

Detective Sergeant Leighton Shingles said: "The violence shown by the two men has left the victim shaken but thankfully not seriously injured.

Police have said they are looking for two Asian men in their mid twenties and are appealing for information

Arrests After Couple Cuffed In Robbery
Five men have been arrested after a husband and wife were handcuffed and robbed at their home in Salford last night. Police were called to Garner Drive, Salford just after 9.20pm on Monday. They found a man aged 37 with his 34-year-old wife left handcuffed after their home had been robbed.

Two more arrested over attempted car bombings
Police investigating the attempted car bombings in London and Glasgow airport have arrested two more people. Two men, aged 28 and 25, were arrested in the Paisley area, west of Glasgow on Sunday night Five people are still being held in connection with the attacks, but it is believed that at least one suspect remains on the run.

52-Year-Old Man Killed By Stolen Car In East London
A pedestrian has been killed in east London after being hit by a stolen car, police have reported. According to police the 52-year-old man was walking on Forest Drive, close to Manor park station, when he was hit by a blue Ford Focus on Wednesday.
