Investigation Launches Over Unexplained Death In Humberside
An investigation is underway after a man was found dead from unexplained knife wounds in Humberside.
John Keith Smith, 69, was found dead at his home in Carnforth Crescent, Grimsby at approximately 6.30am on 25 May.
As the investigation widens, police are treating Mr Smith's death as suspicious yet unexplained.
Detective Chief Inspector Umberto Cuozzo said: "A thorough investigation has been underway since the death was discovered with numerous lines of enquiry being identified and pursued.
"The question of whether anyone else is linked to his death remains unanswered and we are therefore keen to establish more information in connection with John Smith’s lifestyle."
Police are appealing for witnesses.

Thames Valley Police has launched an investigation into an unexplained death after the discovery of an elderly woman's body at an address in Newbury yesterday morning. Police were called to the property in Berkeley Road just before 10am where they discovered the body of a woman in her eighties. She was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.

Thames Valley Police have launched an investigation following an unexplained death in Port Meadow, Oxford. At around 12.25pm on Sunday, police received a call after a member of the public discovered a man's body in a tent. The man was confirmed to be dead at the scene, while a strong odour of chemicals was also present.
