Body Of Murder Suspect Found Dead In Oxford Woodland

The body of a man has been discovered in an area of woodland in Oxford.

The police have said it is the remains of 21-year-old triple murder suspect Jed Allen.

The discovery was made by two members of the public on Marston Ferry Road just before 5pm on 25 May.

It is understood a formal identification is due to take place.

Police are continuing to investigate the murders of Janet Jordon, Philip Howard and Derrin Jordon in Vicarage Road, Didcot on 23 May.

Detective Superintendent Chris Ward said: "My condolences go out to the families and loved-ones of Janet Jordon, Philip Howard and Derrin Jordon.

"We have specially trained officers with the families and we will continue to support them at this extremely difficult time."

Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the murders.

Body Believed To Be Jordon Roberts Found In River Wear
A body has been found in the River Wear, County Durham, believed to be missing teenager Jordon Roberts. Jordon, 17, got into difficulty after entering the water on Monday with his two brothers and a family friend at the river near Finchale Abbey. The friend pulled one of the brothers out of the water, however he was unable to reach Jordon.

King Of Jordon Endorses Treaty With UK
A new treaty between the UK and Jordan, which is understood to pave the way for the extradition of Abu Qatada, has been endrosed by the King of Jordan. Once published by the Jordinian government official gazette, the treaty will become law. In the UK the treaty is expected to become law on Friday, once fully approved by MPs.

Two 14-Year-Old Boys Charged With Manslaughter
Two 14-year-old boys have been charged with manslaughter following the death of a 41-year-old father-of-two in Leicester. Ponnuthurai Nimalaraja, known as Nimal, was assaulted at the junction of Gypsy Lane and Northfield Road shortly after 23:00 on 9 June. Mr Nimalaraja died in hospital on 16 June, one week after being attacked.

PC Jailed Over Schoolgirl's Crash Death
A police officer who caused the death of a teenage girl by dangerous driving, has been jailed for three years. Hayley Adamson, 16, was killed when she stepped out into the path of PC John Dougal's car in Newcastle's Denton Road on 19 May last year. Dougal was chasing a suspect car at the time, but did not have his siren or blue lights switched on.
