Woman Charged With Fraud In Greater Manchester

A woman has been charged with fraud in Bury, Greater Manchester.

Andrea Cole of Roch Way, Whitefield, has been charged with fraud by abuse of position.

She is due to appear at Bury Magistrates' Court on Friday 17 July.

Between 28 October 2013 and Friday 30 November 2014, more than £14,000 was stolen from a 78-year-old woman in Whitefield.

Teens Arrested On Suspicion Of Theft Of A Motor Vehicle

Two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.

A blue BMW 318i failed to stop for police on the A1089 towards Tilbury at about 10pm on Thursday, 14 May.

Officers followed the vehicle, which lost control in Dock Road, Tilbury, and collided with a roundabout near Asda. The two occupants decamped but were detained.

A 16-year-old boy from Grays was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, motoring offences and possession of an offensive weapon and cannabis.

A 17-year-old boy from Tilbury was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and motoring offences.

They are currently in custody being questioned by police.

Surrey Man Banned From East Grinstead For Two Years

A 30-year-old Surrey man has been banned from East Grinstead for two years after a string of offences and anti-social behaviour.

Callum Vincent Parker, from Boulthurst Way, Oxted, was arrested following a theft from a staff tip jar on 7 May from Cafe Nero, High Street, East Grinstead.

Parker was charged and pleaded guilty to the offence at the South East Surrey Magistrates' Court. Parker was also charged and pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis.

The court heard that this was the fourth time Parker had visited East Grinstead town centre to commit crime and his convictions included fraud and handling stolen goods in April 2013 and thefts of charity boxes from Greggs the Bakers, New York Coffee Club and Cafe Nero in August 2014.

Sergeant Graeme Prentice applied for one of the new Criminal Behaviour Orders under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 which would prohibit Parker from entering East Grinstead town centre and surrounding area for a period of two years.

Three Teens Arrested Over GTAV Robbery
Police in north London have arrested three teenagers in connection with the violent robbery of a 23-year-old man, suspected to have been targeted for his copy of the video game, Grand Theft Auto V. The victim is understood to have been making his way home at around 1.30am on Tuesday when he was attacked.

Police pay details stolen
Burglars have stolen three laptop computers containing payroll details for Metropolitan Police staff, Scotland Yard has confirmed. The computers were stolen from the offices of LogicaCMG, which is responsible for the force's pay and pension services, in Southwark Street last Thursday evening.
