Appeal After Motorcycle Stolen in Scarborough

An appeal has been launched by North Yorkshire Police after a motorcycle was stolen in Scarborough.

The theft occured at Fairfield Cresent between 6.30pm on Tuesday (5 May), and 11am on Wednesday (6 May). Police said an orange and black KTM Duke motorbike was stolen from an insecure carport.

Enquiries are being carried out into the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

Woman Attacked In Hastings

A woman has been assaulted in the Lower Park Road area of Hastings.

The victim, aged 40, was walking towards the Bethune Way, past Alexandra Park, on Saturday 25 April at around 9.10am when she was attacked. She received bruising to her body and a broken rib in the incident.

The suspect has been described as a white man, aged 35 to 38, 5' 9", of muscular build with short spiked styled ginger hair and very hairy legs. He was wearing a white short sleeved t-shirt with writing on the front in different colours and pale red shorts that had a drawstring.

Police have said the woman felt she was being followed. When she turned around and a man was standing directly in front of her. He threatened her verbally then pushed her so hard in the chest that she fell to her knees. The man continued to kick and punch her.

PC Lorraine Brunton, Sussex Police, said: "A taxi driver pulled up and asked the woman if she was ok. It is possible that the taxi driver witnessed this attack and may have vital information. If this was you, we'd like to speak to you."

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Investigation Launches After Man Dies In Flat Fire

An investigation has been launched after a man died following a fire at a flat in Skewen, it has been reported.

It is understood South Wales Police, along with Mid and West Fire Service, are trying to establish the cause of the blaze which happened at a block of flats at around 8.40pm on Tuesday.

The man, who was said to be in his 50s, died at the scene.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

Two Bodies Discovered In Buried Car
The bodies of a man and a woman have been found in a car buried under a pile of earth near a partly-collapsed tunnel in Dorset. The bodies were discovered in the car near the Beaminster Tunnel on Monday evening. The car was unearthed near the A3066 tunnel, which has been closed since 7 July after a landslip.

Suspicious Glasgow Car Fires
Detectives in Glasgow's East End are investigating a spate of vehicle fire attacks in the city yesterday. Shortly after 3.30am police were called to a report of a vehicle fire in Ashvale Crescent, Glasgow. Upon arrival police were advised by Strathclyde Fire Service that four vehicles had been damaged by fire.

Police Hunt Two Men After Student Held Hostage During Flat Burglary
Police are searching for two men who held a 25-year-old student hostage for nine hours while his house was robbed. The incident is said to have taken place in February when the student, who has not been named, met up with a woman he had been chatting to online.
