Minutes Silence For Lusitania To Be Held In Liverpool
A minutes silence will be held in Liverpool marking the centenary anniversary of the sinking of the Lusitania.
1,200 people died and 771 survived after the ship was hit by a torpedo fired from a German submarine during World War One.
The ship was sailing from New York to Liverpool when it was sunk off of the coast of Ireland.
A minute's silence will be held at a 2:10pm service, followed by a remembrance walk to the Lusitania's salvaged propeller located at Liverpool's Pier Head.
The disaster will also be remembered at Cobh, Ireland, where many victims were buried after the sinking.

Six Men Jailed After Whiskey And Chocolate Theft
Six men have been sentenced after lorries carrying whiskey and chocolate were stolen in Kent during April 2013. The thefts occurred in the Dover area. Police said high value whiskey with a retail price of £23,000 was stolen from the trailer of a lorry parked in a haulage yard in Lyndden.

More Talks Due In Postal Dispute
The leaders of the Communication Workers' Union are due to meet with Royal Mail management for further talks on Thursday to decide whether to recommend an offer on pay and conditions to their members. The union reportedly wants to clarify outstanding issues of the deal.

Liverpool fan Michael Shields is set to be released from prison after he was pardoned by Justice Secretary Jack Straw. The 22-year-old, who was given a 10-year sentence for the attempted murder of a barman in Bulgaria, in 2005, has won a four-and-a-half-year fight to clear his name.
