New Princess Named
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have named their new daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
Born on Saturday at London's St Mary's Hospital weighing 8lbs 3oz, Princess Charlotte stand fourth in line to the throne.
According to reports the Queen met her newest great-grandchild today at Kensington Palace.
Investigation Launches Over Oxford United Ground Fire
An investigation has been launched into the cause of a fire at the home ground of Oxford United football club.
Police believe that the fire, discovered at the ground on Monday evening, was started deliberately.
In a statement, the League Two club said: "The fire was quickly contained and no serious damage was caused."
A joint fire service and police investigation is being carried out into the cause of the blaze.
Man Jailed Over 10-Hour Armed Siege
A 22-year-old man involved in a ten-hour armed stand-off with police in March, has been jailed for 14 months.
Ciaran Thomas threatened officers with a weapon during the siege in Cynwyd near Corwen, Denbigshire. It was only after the incident ended that the weapon was found to be an air pistol.
He admitted possessing a firearm and threats to kill police at Mold Crown Court.

Heroic Tyne Firemen Honoured
Two Tyne and Wear firefighters are to be recognised for their bravery at a special ceremony today. Andrew Nelson and Allan Richardson will be presented with the Chief Fire Officer's Commendations for brave and meritorious conduct after saving a man's life. The men took part in a dramatic rescue in the early hours of 4 February.

Firefighters launch four-day strike
More than 1,000 firefighters across Merseyside have begun a four-day strike in protest over planned job cuts. Another four-day stoppage is scheduled to begin two hours after the first one ends.

Suspicious Glasgow Car Fires
Detectives in Glasgow's East End are investigating a spate of vehicle fire attacks in the city yesterday. Shortly after 3.30am police were called to a report of a vehicle fire in Ashvale Crescent, Glasgow. Upon arrival police were advised by Strathclyde Fire Service that four vehicles had been damaged by fire.

A top fire officer for the West Midlands Fire Service has resigned after he was arrested on suspicion of making indecent images of children. West Midlands Police arrested Frank Sheehan, 55, yesterday at his home in Sutton Coldfield.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.
