Four Men Arrested At Gatwick After Being Refused Entry To Turkey

Four men have been arrested at Gatwick Airport after returning to the UK when they were refused entry into Turkey.

The Metropolitan Police said that the men, aged 32, 36, 37 and 38, had flown to Turkey last week, but had been refused entry at Antalya Airport.

Counter-terror police arrested the men as they re-entered the UK on Saturday, under the Civil Aviation Act 1982.

The men has since been bailed until June.

Police said that the investigation is ongoing.

US transport authorities yesterday ordered a New York-bound British Airways jumbo jet to turn around and return to Heathrow, claiming that one passenger's name was on a terrorism 'watch list.' The man, believed to be travelling on a French passport, was one of 239 passengers on the transatlantic Boeing 747.

Two Women Charged With Drug Trafficking Refused Bail
The two British women caught with £1.5m of cocaine have been refused bail. Michaella McCollum Connelly from Dungannon and Melissa Reid from Glasgow, both 20, were remanded in custody by a judge on Wednesday. They have been charged with the promotion of drug trafficking.
