Body Of Man In Blackburn Identified
The body of a man who died in Blackburn has been identified as David Curry, 58, police have confirmed.
Officers were called at around 3.35pm on Saturday 4th April to the canal towpath close to the former Moorings Pub on Bolton Road, Blackburn, following reports that a man was on fire.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A postmortem examination established the cause of death as burns and smoke inhalation.
His death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are still on-going.

Two Bailed After Baby Dies In Dog Attack
The 11-month-old baby who died after being mauled by a pet dog at a house in Lancashire has been named as Ava-Jayne Marie Corless. The girl died at Royal Blackburn Hospital a short time after the attack on Monday night. She had been asleep upstairs in a house on Emily Street in Blackburn when she was attacked.

An 11-month-old baby has died after being mauled by a pet dog, police in Lancashire have said. The baby girl, from Emily Street in Blackburn, died in hospital at about 23:00 on Monday. Police have arrested a 26-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman on suspicion of child neglect in connection with the incident.

Police investigating alleged death threats against the Prime Minister have arrested a man in Blackburn. It is believed the threats to kill Gordon Brown were posted on an Islamic website. A 19-year-old man is being held under the Terrorism Act, after a joint swoop by Lancashire Police and the Greater Manchester Police Counter Terrorism Unit.

Blackburn Teenagers Arrest Linked To Australian Terror Plot
A 14-year-old boy from Blackburn has been arrested on terrorism related charges connected to an alleged terror plot in Australia. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have reported that the boy was arrested on 02 April on suspicion of preparing for an act of terrorism. He was then further arrested on 18 April on suspicion of other terrorism offences.
