Investigation Launches Over Allegations Of Historic Abuse
Police have launched an inquiry to investigate a number of individual allegations of historic abuse affecting ten former children's homes or residential premises in the County of Nottinghamshire.
The Operation Xeres team is investigating a small number of complaints of historic physical, emotional, mental and sexual abuse reported by people who were in care for a variety of reasons, but who are now adults.
The inquiry is looking at individual allegations relating to people aged under 18, both male and female, ranging between 1940 and the 1990s at Skegby Hall, the former Whatton Young Offenders Institution, Repton Lodge in Worksop, Laybrook in Mansfield, Berry Hill Open Air School in Mansfield, The Ridge in Mansfield, Amberdale in Stapleford, Ashley House in Worksop, South Collingham Hall, and Cauldwell House in Southwell.

Five New Charges To Be Brought Against Stuart Hall
Lancashire Police have confirmed that they are investigating fresh allegations made against former broadcaster Stuart Hall. Hall was jailed in July after admitting 14 counts of indecent assault against girls as young as nine between 1967 and 1987. His sentence of 15 months was doubled by the Court of Appeal after it ruled that it was too lenient.

Disciplinary Actions Begins At BBC

Murder Inquiry 'Unlikely' In Jersey Home Probe
Jersey police have now confirmed the discovery of the partial remains of at least five youngsters at Haut de la Garenne, the former care home at the centre of an Historic Abuse Enquiry. The remains are thought to belong to children aged between four and 11.
