Appeal For Help In Finsbury Park Burns Victim Investigation

Police are appealing for help with an investigation after a man was found with serious burns walking in Finsbury Park, north London on 23 March.

Police are trying to establish how 34-year-old Bilel Ayadi suffered serious burns to his neck and torso.

It is believed that Mr Ayadi walked shirtless for around two miles before he was spotted by security guards on Woodberry Grove at about 22:30.

Mr Ayadi is currently in a medically-induced coma, he was unable to tell police what had happened to him before he was found.

Det Con Anwen Clissold said "It may well be that he was already injured as he made his way through the streets.

"We are still trying to establish what has caused his burns but what we do know is that a young man has sustained some very serious injuries. I need to find out how."

Algerian national Mr Ayadi, who has lived in the UK for the past six years, is described as 5ft 11in (1.8m) tall and of medium build.
