Police Investigate Death Of Two-Year-Old On Cumbrian Farm
An investigation has been launched into the death of a two-year-old boy on a farm in Cumbria.
It is understood that the child was seriously injured when he was hit by a vehicle on the farm in Gosforth on Saturday.
He was pronounced dead at Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle.
Cumbria Police have said that an investigation has been launched into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Man Arrested Over Alleged Rape Of 13-Year-Old Girl
Police in Cambridgeshire have arrested a 53-year-old man in connection with the alleged rape of a 13-year-old girl.
It is understood that the alleged attack took place in December, but police said that it was only reported to them on 23 February.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of rape and released on conditional bail.
Police said that the investigation is ongoing.
Slaughterhouse Owner Fined In First Horsement Prosecution
A slaughterhouse owner is the first person to be prosecuted in relation to the 2013 horsemeat scandal.
Peter Boddy has been fined £8,000, and ordered to pay a further £10,442 in costs, after he admitted to selling 55 horses from his abattoir, in Todmorden, West Yorkshire. He also admitted accepting 17 animals without keeping proper records.

Rape Investigation Against MP Mark Pritchard Dropped
An investigation into rape allegations against Conservative MP Mark Pritchard have been dropped, Scotland Yard has confirmed. Mr Pritchard, MP for The Wrekin in Shropshire, was arrested on 2 December, however he was released on police bail. He has now been informed no further action will be taken.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Leeds suspend Morris pending internal inquiry
The Leeds United footballer Jody Morris has been suspended by his club pending an internal investigation. Mr Morris was arrested on Tuesday by officers investigating the alleged rape of a 20-year-old woman in Collingwood on Monday. He has since been released on police bail.

Date rape case judges 'can influence trial outcome'
A judge's summing-up can influence a jury's decision in date rape cases, a report has suggested. The research, conducted for the British Psychological Society, presented 168 university students with a date rape scenario, which included a summing-up statement by the judge, and asked them to decide on the guilt of the alleged rapist.

Northumbria Police Renew Rape Investigation Appeal
Police investigating an attempted rape in Newcastle have issued a new appeal for information. On September 3 in 2014 a report was received of an attempted rape of a 14-year-old girl. It's believed the incident happened in the park opposite Bedeburn Road and Newbiggin Lane in Newcastle sometime in May.
