Men Dress As Women For Armed Post Office Robbery

Police are searching for two men in connection with the armed robbery of a village post office.

It is understood that the men were dressed as women, with one pushing the other in a wheelchair.

Police said that shots were fired during the robbery on High Street, Boston Spa on the outskirts of Leeds, but no one was injured.

Det Insp Phil Jackson said: "We are in the early stages of our investigation into this armed robbery, which is being treated as an isolated incident.

"It was initially reported that two female suspects entered the post office but it has now been established that the suspects were dressed as women and wearing wigs."

Arrest Made In Claudia Lawrence Investigation

Police investigating the murder of Claudia Lawrence have arrested a man in his 50s.

The body of Ms Lawrence, who has been missing since 2009, has never been found.

Police have confirmed that a man aged in his 50s has been arrested and is currently in custody.

Street Preacher Fined For Homophobic Sermons

A Christian street preacher has been fined over homophobic sermons delivered in Taunton, Somerset.

Michael Overd, from Creech St Michael, was fined £200 and ordered to pay compensation and costs totalling £1,200 at Bristol Crown Court.

'Skull Cracker' In Custody In London

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Police Arrest Four Youths After Robbery In Sussex
Police have arrested four youths after three Polish men were attacked and robbed in a park in Sussex. It is understood officers were called to Hartfield Park after 9pm on Thursday following reports that the men, two aged 20 and one aged 24, had been attacked by a large group of youths.
