MoJ Reveal Drone Used In Prison Smuggle Attempt

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has revealed that a drone was used to try and smuggle a package into the grounds of HMP Bedford.

An MoJ spokesperson said that the aircraft was "quickly intercepted by vigilant staff" on 06 March. They added that while it was "not new" for attempts to be made to smuggle stuff into prisons, they were "not aware of another incident like this".

Bedfordshire Police said they are aware of the incident and an investigation is underway.
