21-Year-Old Woman Arrested After Being Deported From Turkey

A 21-year-old woman has been arrested by counter-terror police at Luton Airport after being detained by Turkish authorities.

Jamila Henry is suspected of having flown to Turkey using her twin sister's passport.

According to reports she was stopped at a bus station in Ankara on suspicion that she was planning to travel on to Syria to join Islamic State.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police met the woman off a flight from Istanbul and arrested her on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts.

Police Officer Arrested In Fraud Investigation
A serving Norfolk Police officer has been arrested on suspicion of fraud and laundering. It is understood that the office was arrested along with two other people by detectives investigating fraud allegations. Police say that a man and a woman, both in their 30s, and a second woman in her 50s were held in Norwich on Thursday.

21-Year-Old Arrested At Stansted On Terrorism Offences
Police have arrested a man at Stansted airport on suspicion of terrorism offences. The 21-year-old was detained by Counter Terrorism Command officers as he returned to the UK from Istanbul, Turkey, via Stuttgart, Germany. He is suspected of involvement in the commission, preparation and instigation of terrorism, Scotland Yard have said.

Production restarts at Suffolk turkey farm
The Suffolk turkey farm at the centre of a bird flu outbreak is re-opening for business and resuming the slaughter and processing of poultry. The government gave the Bernard Matthews farm in Upper Holton the go-ahead to restart operations and, according to reports, turkeys have already begun to arrive at the plant.

Church Asked To Support Fast-Track Women Bishops Law
The first woman bishop in the Church of England could be appointed by Christmas. The general synod supports the legislation to fast-track the revision of the latest proposals and to reduce the time given to individual dioceses. This could lead to a final vote in July with the legislation approved by November.

Disabled Woman Found Dead In Car
A disabled woman found stabbed to death in her car near her home in Harlow, Essex, has been named. Jennifer Macaree was discovered in Hadley Grange on the outskirts of Harlow early on Saturday. Essex Police confirmed she was in the driver's seat of her black Vauxhall Corsa in a parking area near her flat shortly after 3am.
