Police Appeal For Witnesses To Serious Road Accident

Police have appealed for witnesses to a serious road accident in County Durham on Sunday morning.

A 59-year-old woman is in a critical condition following the three-car collision, which happened on the A19 at about 10:30.

It is understood that the woman needed emergency surgery and a blood transfusion by the roadside, before she was able to be flown to hospital.

Five others are also being treated in hospital following the accident.

One person has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

Police Appeal For Witnesses Following Fatal Road Accident
Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses after a nine-year-old boy died after being hit by a car on Tuesday. Police said the boy was hit by a black Vauxhall Corsa near Cadham at about 17:40. The boy was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kickcady, where he died a short time later from his injuries.

Children Treated In Hospital Following Boating Accident
Two children are continuing to receive hospital treatment after being rescued from the River Avon following a boating accident in which their father and brother died. The family's rowing boat capsized in strong waters at a weir in Barford on Saturday afternoon. A local resident was able to pull the boy and girl from the water.

Police in Dudley have appealed for witnesses to a serious road accident on Saturday. A man aged in his 40s is in a critical condition in hospital after suffering serious head injuries in a collision on Oakham Road at around 15:00.

Prince Naseem arrested after car crash
Ex-WBO featherweight champion Prince Naseem Hamed has been released on bail, following his arrest after a car crash. One man was left seriously injured following the collision between Mr Hamed’s Mercedes sports car, a Ford Mondeo and a Volkswagen Golf in Ringinglow Road in Sheffield.
