River Search Continues For Missing 11-Year-Old
A major search operation is continuing for an 11-year-old boy who fell into the River Towy in Carmarthen.
The operation was launched at about 16:00 on Tuesday when it was reported the boy had gone into the river.
An RAF Sea King rescue helicopter, the Ferryside inshore lifeboat crew, a coastguard rescue team, firefighters and police are involved in the operation.
Searches are being carried along the riverbank and in and around the water.

Search Underway For Man Spotted In River Avon
A rescue operation is ongoing in a stretch of the River Avon in Bath after a man was reported as being in distress in the river. Avon and Somerset Police responded to an emergency call in the area near Pine's Way at around 04:00. It is understood that officers spoke to the man but were unable to get him out of the water before he went under again.

A convicted killer has failed to return to prison following a day release on Saturday. 44-year-old Arnold Pickering, from Greater Manchester, failed to return to Kennet Prison on Liverpool, marking the third time he has gone on the run. Pickering was jailed for life in 1991.

A large-scale search operation has been launched on the Helford River, near Falmouth, for a missing snorkeler. The snorkeler, a man aged in his 20s, is understood to have been missing since Thursday evening. According to reports, the man had gone out alone at about 19:00, wearing a dry suit and a weight belt.
