Police Appeal For Witnesses Following Fatal Road Accident

Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses after a nine-year-old boy died after being hit by a car on Tuesday.

Police said the boy was hit by a black Vauxhall Corsa near Cadham at about 17:40.

The boy was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kickcady, where he died a short time later from his injuries.

Police said: "We are appealing for any drivers or pedestrians who may have been on the A92 at the time of the collision to come forward and help establish the full circumstances of the incident."

Baby Dies After Being Bitten By Family Pet
A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a baby bitten by dog in Sunderland. The three-week-old baby boy died in hospital following an incident at his home in Falkland Road. Police were called to the address at 04:15 on Saturday, 20 June. It is understood that the baby had been bitten by the families pet dog.

Boy Dies After Falling Into River In Argyll
A 10-year-old boy has died after falling into a river in Argyll while on holiday with his family. Emergency services were called to the incident at 13:45 on Tuesday. The boy was rescued by a passer-by after getting into difficulties. He was airlifted to Glasgow for treatment, however he later died at Yorkhill Hospital.

Toddler In Pond Tragedy
An investigation has been launched after a three-year-old boy died when he fell into a garden pond. Ethan Read, from Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, died in spite of his mother's attempts to revive him before the ambulance arrived. The incident happened at an address in Coney Weston. The death is being treated as unexplained.

Gwent Police have appeal for help in tracing a missing 13-year-old boy. Michael Driver has been missing from his Monmouthshire home since Saturday 12 October. Michael is described as 4ft 5in (1.3m) tall, with dark hair and is of slight build, when last seen he was wearing a black hooded top and jeans.
