Tanker driver dies as his vehicle veers off flyover

A man has died after the tanker he was driving plunged 20 feet from a motorway flyover near Manchester earlier this morning.

The driver has not yet been named.

Two cars and a lorry were also involved in the smash but initial reports suggest that there were only minor injuries.

The accident has closed the M60 in both directions as emergency services work to remove the wreckage.

Part Of M25 Closed Following Fatal Accident
One person has died in an accident involving several vehicles on the M25. Part of the motorway is currently closed in both directions. Three others have been taken to hospital following the accident which occurred at 1.50am on Tuesday, according to Essex Police.

Two people have died and four treated for minor injuries following a six-vehicle collision on the M6 near Coventry, it has been reported today. The accident occurred at around 12.15pm today and involved four lorries, a car and a van.
