People Investigate Reports Of Swindon 'Explosion'

Police are investigating reports of a "large bang or explosion" in the Swindon area.

Three calls were made to Wiltshire Police between 06:24 and 06:38 on Friday morning reporting the noise, however it is understood that the callers could not identify where the noise had come from.

According to BBC Wiltshire they also received calls, texts and tweets from people reportedly hearing the noise.

Wiltshire Police confirmed that it had not attended any explosion-related incidents.
