North Sea Industry Reps To Meet With Unions
Representatives of the North Sea oil industry are to meet with unions to discuss the future of the industry.
It follows an announcement on Thursday that BP will cut 200 jobs and 100 contractor roles from its operations in the region.
Shell, Chevron and ConocoPhillips have made similar announcements in recent months.
According to a report by the BBC, Chancellor George Osborne is understood to be considering measures to help the oil and gas industry as part of his upcoming Budget.

Energy industry regulator Ofgem has ordered Scottish Power to pay £8.5 million in compensation to its customers. An investigation into Scottish Powers doorstep and telephone selling found the company had failed to "adequately train and monitor" staff, with customers being misled.

FSA Launch Investigation Into Insider-Dealing Allegations
The Financial Services Authority this morning launched a series of co-ordinated raids on the homes and offices of three finance industry workers following allegations of a new insider-dealing ring. It is understood the as-yet-unidentified men, all in the their 30s, work in the City and are all FSA accredited.

Clampdown Targets 'Rogue' Security Firms
